World Trade Center Related Press
The latest addition to our coverage is a new section on the battle to meet the health needs of the many people in the United States whose health has been compromised by their contact with asbestos. Since so much asbestos was used in the building of the WTC complex, the yearly battle to limit the liability of asbestos companies for the harm they have caused not only workers, but anyone who comes in contact with the fibers as they are released through poor management of workplaces (from mines to manufacturing plants, to your local brake shop), accident, or circumstance beyond belief (see in particular the stories that come from such places as Libby, Montana -- whose mines provided so much of the asbestos used to fireproof the Twin Towers.) With no extra time on our hands, we're just plunging in, and hoping to revise the pages sensibly later on.

From time to time we try to include some of the current stories about environmental issues that have come up after Hurricane Katrina struck the southern coast of the United States.
